good people, being in the dean's list does not change anything, it does mean that you are smart somehow, but it doesn't mean those who doesn't get it, are not in the smart list. and rushing or studying for the sake of that list only, will mean you're doing it for name, not for the sake of the knowledge itself. and not being in it does not mean you didn't try hard enough. i've known people who tried very hard and they don't usually got good grades, but that does not mean they are failures, it just means they will value hardwork more than those who get into it without much study. what's most important is the gift of learning. treasure that. not the cert that says you're in the list.
i was just imagining some friends who had tried hard, though not getting much, is it fair to say they are not doing good enough? is it fair to label them? is it fair to judge them by the grades they get? or by their personality? i've heard various stories of people getting As in their studies, but doesn't have much in communication skills, and lack of attitude.
it's the reason why i never liked to compare 'intelligence' with others. i believe everyone has their own special way of studying and everyone is smart enough to me. who are we to judge? so what if we got As? does that make us better then them? how do we know if their hardwork are lesser than us? think about it.
